Morning Program

 

The morning program is available for children between the ages of 2-1/2 to 5. We offer a wide assortment of experiences every day, including but not limited to: art activities, natural science, sensory exploration, carpentry, dramatic play, music, animal care, fine motor activities, pre-literacy and cooking. We also have a wonderful outdoor classroom that provides children with space for large motor activities. Our outdoor classroom contains a flourishing garden, sandbox, bike area, monkey bars, climbing structure, and space to run and play freely.

Parents participate in the classroom weekly, share in the operation of the school, and are actively involved in their child’s learning. At The Oaks we have a parent/child ratio of 1:4.

Children ages 4-5 are also eligible to participate in an enriching field trip program during their final year at The Oaks. This program provides the children a safe opportunity to practice their conversation and social skills, exercise their curiosity and experience a little independence from their parents — all of the following are great practices in preparation for kindergarten.
